How to subscribe Apple Music and cancel it

Subscribe Apple Music on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

1. Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to iOS 8.4.

2. After it installs and reboots, launch the Music app. You'll see a splash screen that welcomes you to Apple Music. From here, you can tap Start 3 Month Free Trial to begin the registration process. (If you tapped Go to My Music after first seeing this screen, you can return to this signup at any time by tapping the Account icon in the top left corner of the Music app and tapping Join Apple Music.)

3. Choose a membership plan: either the $9.99/month individual plan, or the $14.99 family plan, which supports up to six members of your family. Tap the one you want. (You won't be charged for each until your three-month trial ends.)

4. Sign in to the iTunes Store with your Apple ID and password. You may also be prompted to agree to the new iTunes terms and conditions, if you haven't already.

5. Confirm that you want to sign up for Apple Music.

1. Update iTunes on your Mac to iTunes 12.2.

2. After it installs and reboots, launch iTunes.

3. If you don't immediate see a splash screen that welcomes you to Apple Music, click the For You tab along the top of the app.

4. Select Join Apple Music to begin the registration process. (If you already launched iTunes and started using it, you can return to the signup at any time by going to Account > Apple Music in the menubar.)

5. Choose a membership plan: either the $9.99/month individual plan, or the $14.99 family plan, which supports up to six members of your family. (You won't be charged for each until your three-month trial ends.)

6. Sign in to the iTunes Store with your Apple ID and password. You may also be prompted to agree to the new iTunes terms and conditions, if you haven't already.

7. Confirm that you want to sign up for Apple Music.

8. Choose whether you'd like to upload your computer's library to your iCloud Music Library.

How to Cancel your Apple Music membership

You can cancel your Apple Music membership on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch; your Mac or PC; or your Apple TV (4th generation).

Please note that: Your membership might renew if you don't cancel your membership more than 24 hours before your renewal date.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

  1. Open the Music app, then tap For You.
  2. Tap the profile icon or your photo in the upper-right corner, then tap View Apple ID. You might be asked to sign in or use Touch ID.
  3. Tap Subscriptions, then tap Apple Music Membership.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription. After you cancel, your subscription will stop at the end of the current billing cycle.

Cancel Apple Music On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

On your Mac or PC

  1. Open iTunes.
  2. From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen or the top of the iTunes window, choose Account > View My Account. You might be asked to sign in.
  3. On the Account Information page, scroll to the Settings section.
  4. To the right of Subscriptions, click Manage, then click Apple Music Membership.
  5. Click Cancel Subscription. After you cancel, your subscription will stop at the end of the current billing cycle.

On your Apple TV

  1. Open Settings, then select Accounts.
  2. Under Subscriptions, select Manage Subscriptions. You might be asked to sign in.
  3. Choose Apple Music Membership, then select Cancel Subscription. After you cancel, your subscription will stop at the end of the current billing cycle.

Apple TV (3rd generation or earlier) isn't compatible with Apple Music.
