How to record audio flow

Recording audio is the most important operation in Macsome Audio Recorder. When you record audio from a source, the audio flows through Macsome Audio Recorder, then back out to the designated output (generally, your speakers).

Macsome Audio Recorder can record from two different types of sources, PC devices and applications. Click below examples for help with:

Record Audio Flow From Line In

Step1: To begin, add pc device "Line In" in the main window.

Step2: Ajust Inspector settings such as General, Recording, Tags Options. If you want customize these settings, please see the Settings Page for more information.

Step3: Click Record button, the status is Record On. And it start recording when you can start speaking if you have set the Silence Monitor on.

Silence when recording

    Tips: Silence Monitor-> Pause recoding during silence and start a new recording when the sound starts again. This option is especially useful when recording streaming audio and net congestion temporarily stops the stream.

When you're done, be sure to hit Record again to end recording of the last file. Your files will be saved to the specified location, as well as accessible from the Recording Bin. From here, you can send the files to iTunes, right to an iPod, or burn them to CD. Now you can enjoy audio files anywhere you like!


Record iTunes Radio Program

Step1: To begin, add iTunes application in the main window.

Step2: Adjust settings such as General, Recording, Tags Options. If you want customize these settings, please see the Settings Page for more information.

Step3: Click Launch button to run iTunes.

Step4: Click Record button, the status is Record On.

Step5: Play specified radio program in iTunes, and it start recording when podcast audio play.


Record Voice Chat

Step1: To begin, Plug the microphone and headphones in, add a voice chat application such as Skype or iChat AV in the main window. Be careful to mute your headphones'speakers.

Step2: Ajust General->Silence Monitor setting as Analog settings. If you want customize more settings, please see the Settings Page for more information.

Step3: Click Launch button to run Skype, or iChat AV.

Step4: Click Record button, the status is Record On.

Step5: Connect your desire online friend, have your conversation in Skype.


Record Audio From DVD

Step1: To begin, add DVD player application in the main window.

Step2: Adjust settings such as General, Recording, Tags Options. If you want customize these settings, please see the Settings Page for more information.

Step3: Click Launch button to run DVD player.

Step4: Click Record button, the status is Record On.

Step5: Play specified DVD in DVD player, and it start recording when DVD play. Any audio played in DVD Player will play through Macsome Audio Recorder and be recorded.

Step6: If you're recording a full concert DVD, press the Split button in-between tracks to get multiple files, one for each song. The more detail about split, please see later tutorial-Split Page.


Record Audio Flow From Safari

Step1: To begin, add Safari application in the main window.

Step2: Adjust settings such as General, Recording, Tags Options. If you want customize these settings, please see the Settings Page for more information.

Step3: Click Launch button to run Safari.

Step4: Click Record button, the status is Record On.

Step5: In Safari, open an stream urls, when the stream running it start recording.
